Eric Pease email@example.com USA I play classical guitar and just purchased a 10-string. The guitar was made by Pimentel and Sons in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I mainly play 6-string, but have many instruments with extra strings (Harpejji, Warr Guitar, Chapman Stick, Glissentar, 7-stringed classical, and 7-stringed electric). I always wanted a harp guitar, but it seems the 10-stringed guitar will serve the same purpose. I just ordered some of your publications, and look forward to learning.
I am a professional scientist who has been playing guitar (classical and other) on and off for many years. Music for me has been a locus of relaxation and inspiration not unlike for others on this site. I have been attracted to the 10 string after hearing Narcisso Yepes and Egberto Gismonti CD's, playing 2 different genres of music on that instrument and I became the owner of two 10 strings over the years. I am not adept at playing this model as of yet, but I plan soon to start again taking lessons. My email is: firstname.lastname@example.org. I live in the state of Ohio.
Adam Ghoneim email@example.com Canada I have been a classical guitarist since about 8 years old. I started playing the 10 string guitar since 2006 and I've been hooked ever since. I love to play baroque music especially Bach and Weiss music so adopting the 10-string guitar was a natural choice where I didn't have to sacrifice too much of the bass lines.

Bob Harrison harbrow@netspace,net.au Sydney Australia I am a professional scientist but have been playing classical guitar for many years, recently participating in a guitar orchestra and small ensemble as well as playing regularly in duets and trios. I became interested in the 10-string some time ago as an option for extending the base register for the ensemble, without going to the large bass guitar that does not sound too good (in my view). A number of members in our ensemble compose or arrange music and I hope we can develop the 10-string to good effect.

I have just completed building my second Classical Guitar, a 10 String modeled on a Torres FE-19 body with my own Neck and Bridge design. I was inspired by Michael Mc Broom's Journal on building 10 strings and by recordings in the 1970's of Maestro Yepes performing on his 10 String.
My main ax is a Augustine Hernandez eight string (one of 12). I've alsogot a Bartolex 10 string, which is okay, but not great. At least itgives me 10 strings to play with, and the price was right. I play mostly Celtic tunes. Rudiger Gretschel South Africa I played classical guitar since I was a boy in Namibia. I bought my 10 string guitar when I was 14 years old. During varsity I stopped playing and now with the age of 30 want to start playing again.
When saw my first 10 sting guitar in a small shop in Hanover I was fascinated and decided it had to be mine sometime.I bought it some 20 years ago as a second hand instrument. It is a Spanish guitar built by Evelio Dominguez in 1978.I just love the love the broad scale of notes and the long sustain. I like to play it in a classical way and as an accompanying instrument in church in worship songs.

Fabrizio Contini ( email@example.com) After many years playing fingerstyle guitar, I fell in love with the 10 string guitar and baroque music . Now I want learn all I can. Thanks to the Ten -String Guitar Society Italy Frank Wallace firstname.lastname@example.org www.frankwallace.com and gyremusic.com USA I have been involved in early music and guitar for over 30 years. I've done all kinds of music on "authentic" instruments from Medieval music to modern. The only way to bring it all together has been to compose my own music, at first for lute or guitar. Now I have awakened to the beauty of a Connor ten-string guitar - perhaps the only instrument I'll need from now on (famous last words, I know). My passion is for song, however, and have always loved Dowland, Schubert, the Beatles -... So I have written close to 100 songs now, mostly in "song cycles" of 5-16 songs. The latest is my first composition for ten-string - The Great Deep, eight songs on life's final journey, available at www.gyremusic.com or http://stores.lulu.com/frankwallace Wes Dotts email@example.com US, Massachusetts I'm currently renewing my interest in studying 10 string music. @http://dejongeguitars.com I have a BFA in classical guitar performance from York University, Toronto (1989). I've participated with the University of Toronto Guitar Orchestra (1985) under the direction of Leo Brower. My interest in the multi-string guitar was first sparked when I heard the Bach Lute Suites recordings of Narciso Yepes. Since then I have had the honor of meeting Narciso Yepes at the home of Eli Kassner (Toronto) in 1986. I was most fortunate to have a very personal discussion with the Maestro about his family, music, astronomy, recording and of course the multi-string guitar concept. He saw and played my 17 string during that meeting. A particular goal with the multi-string guitar is to focus my technique, tuning and fingering decisions on maximizing the incredible timbre this kind of instrument has to offer. I'm happy to be part of the First Ten String Guitar Society as a way of celebrating the instrument's development along with those who enjoy playing and listening to this unique kind of guitar.
