The 3rd International Festival of Guitar Oct. 23, 24, 25, 2008 Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education Torrington, Connecticut, USA
"Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!
I cannot tell you how INCREDIBLE the show was on Saturday night. You and the other musicians on stage had me (and everyone completely transfixed, riveted, on the edge of our seats… the variety of music, the passion with which it was played and shared with the audience, the connection that we as an audience felt to the music… it was mesmerizing and unforgettable. THANK YOU for sharing such an impressive and memorable evening with all of us. We all left feeling uplifted, revived and inspired. Please share my congratulations with the other performers and let them know how privileged we feel here at the Warner to have been able to help host something so wonderful. I also want to thank you so very much for the generous donation of the high-quality T.H.E. Audio (www.theaudio.com) microphone to the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education. It will be of great use for a wide spectrum of educational events. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity.
Again, BRAVO for launching an amazing and successful event. "

Porud Sponsor of the Festival
It is our great pleasure to be able to show our support for the 3rd International Festival of Guitar. T.H.E. Audio (Taylor Hohendahl Engineering. Llc at www.theaudio.com) is making available 3 of their C-series cardioid condenser microphones (CR-5) for the performance and then to be given to select performers through Janet Marlow, the Founder and Director of the International Ten String Guitar Society.
Our love affair with the 10 string guitar began with our introduction to Janet Marlow approximately 10 years ago in Connecticut - and subsequent work with her on three different albums. Over the course of the years I have been continually amazed at the depth of sound and possibilities for expression with the 10 string guitar. Janet's tunings and playing techniques have opened a new horizon of guitar music for me and I have expanded my knowledge base and experience in guitar recording and tonality during this time.
It is a pleasure to offer some of our C-series microphones for use by Society members and festival performers. While we normally use our K-series for critical recording, the C-series mics are meant to go from concert stage to rehearsal hall to recording studio with a simplicity of use and depth of capture that will immediately give the guitarist not only a fine, professional recording track, but a deep and detailed rehearsal or concert sound that will excite listeners and give even the most exacting performer plenty of sound for analysis of technique and tuning.
We urge all serious guitarists, gifted amateurs, honored professionals and lovers of these unique instruments to support the Ten String Guitar Society; to attend these concerts and to experiment with conventional and non-conventional instruments, techniques and tunings. It is this creativity that will keep the music fresh and flowing for years to come. Share the music and support the Society!
With much love and best wishes,
Taylor Johnson, CEO Taylor Hohendahl Engineering, Llc www.theaudio.com
